I would like to let the ski hill management know that all the ski staff that I encountered were very friendly at helpful to both my friend and I during our two days of skiing this past Wednesday & Thursday. I noticed that most if not all were from Australia which was cool talking with all of them.
The food in the lodge was also excellent. I have Skied Hemlock since the early 1980s and I have to say this the best I have seen it.
Keep up the good work, I will up there skiing soon. 😊

I’ve been snowboarding a Hemlock almost every weekend this season and just wanted to say the 2 lift operators on Sasquatch Chair are doing an outstanding job. I think their names are Dom and Toby. They are both good at presenting the chair so it doesn’t smash into my calves and they are consistently super friendly. Just thought administration should know.

My name is Mindy and my family rented a cabin and stayed at Hemlock over the New Year break. I just wanted to compliment 2 of your workers in the rental department. Their names are Nate and Brandon. They both went above and beyond to help me with rentals. I have my own equipment but it seemed that it was no longer working for me. I was ready to give up and throw in the towel on skiing all together.
These 2 young gentlemen asked me lots of questions and were able to determine that I didn’t in fact “hate skiing” but that my gear was not fit to me properly. I ended up renting gear from them and had the BEST 2 days on the mountain ever.
KUDOS to them for their efforts. They did not go un-noticed.

My family and I came up to the mountain and enjoyed a fantastic day of skiing. It was beautiful, the snow was great, my kids ended up each receiving a private lesson. The instructors were fantastic and my kids didn’t want to leave the mountain, exactly what I was hoping for.
As we were leaving my youngest daughter and I were in the washroom and I could hear a women speaking to her asking her how her day went and if she had enjoyed herself. When I came out I noticed that this women was cleaning the washroom stalls. She continued to ask me how my day was and furthermore told me to check out the great spring break programs being offered in the next couple of weeks!
I have worked in the service industry my whole life and know exceptional customer service when I see it! This women was mopping washroom stalls and took the time to promote programs and ask how our experience was. If we weren’t going away for spring break I would have been up at the mountain and bringing friends. It feels good to support a business where employees have ownership and feel a part of a workplace community working towards common goals.

Just a quick note to tell you that I made my first trip to Hemlock on Friday with two of my boys. We had a fantastic time on your mountain. We needed to rent equipment for one of my sons and I want to let you know that we really appreciated how organized your rental department is. Everyone was very accommodating and friendly. Would like to compliment hemlock resort and ski patrol for excellent service and care, my son 15 yrs old and three of his school friends were up at your resort jan25/13 from noon till 8:00 unfortunately one of the kids injured his knee while snowboarding on his last run of the evening he was attended to by your ski patrol and transported to the first aid hut where he was attended to by your staff while awaiting transport by ambulance to hospital he is fine, no boarding for awhile but said he will be back as soon as possible to your resort I was a pro patrol for whistler mountain for years and I know what good response and care are and your resort and ski patrol are there. thanks again

The Yale students had an awesome time and look forward to coming back in the future! You and your staff are amazing! The instructors were great and the rental staff was helpful. You are so well-organized and efficient, which I totally appreciate! I’ll get more feedback from my students tomorrow, but I’m sure the opinion won’t change much from our conversation on the bus. Hi there! Just wanted to let you know how great our trip was during the first weekend of Feb 2012. We brought our 2 little ones up there, they had never seen so much snow! We put them both in lessons and they had a blast. They want to continue to ski now! We would like to send a special thank you to Ross and Brennan, they both did an awesome job and got my kids skiing! We plan on coming back up there soon! Thanks again for a very great weekend.

What a great first experience! Wow very impressed with all levels of customer service and the mountain is awesome. Lucked out on fantastic conditions. I will be praising to all the parents about this great experience.
Max was awesome on running the toe-rope & Steve teaching the kids. Great guys!!! I will be spending more of my time at Hemlock. I have skied many mountains and this was the best overall time I have ever had!

I was out this morning (10:30 with Colin), and I just wanted to let you know how extremely stoked I am right now. I nearly bailed on coming out at all since I was coming up alone and I was nervous about the drive from Langley, and I’m so glad I didn’t. I lucked out by being the only one in the lesson, and Colin was just awesome, especially considering it was my first time up. I unfortunately couldn’t stay long today, but after my lesson this morning I would have stayed on the mountain until you dragged me off of it. I can’t wait to come up again. Thank-you so so much!!
We went to Hemlock Valley sight unseen and without any real word of mouth – just a mention on a website and an impressive looking set of pictures and options on their own website.
What a pleasant surprise. We had an absolutely fabulous time. There was NO (repeat: No) lineups for the chairlifts and the runs were well maintained and groomed – even with as little recent snow as they’ve been having. There was, at the time, 70cm at the lodge and 170cm at the top.
The kids had a lovely time as well – as they are both younger than 6 they each had their own instructor. They’ll also teach kids as young as 2 – and our 2 year old learned so much more than we thought she would.
Hemlock Valley Resort is definately one of those ‘hidden’ gems that few people know about, but almost everyone that does know, love it.

I just want to let you know how much I appreciate all the fun we have had at Hemlock this year. I brought my 2 granddaughters 5-8 tubing and skiing, they loved their lessons. Their instructors were kind patient and very encouraging…the girls were on the handle tow in no time. They will be taking more lessons next season. I have had a great time on Ladies Day, meeting with other people and just sharing Apies after a fun day on the slopes. I encourage all the ladies I know to take advantage of this great opportunity.

I would like to pass along a “job well done” and “thank you” on behalf of my family. On Saturday, my wife, two youngest sons, and myself came up for a day of skiiing/boarding. Our sons, Jordan and Dawson, had never boarded (or skied) before, so we enrolled them in lessons with hopes that they would have a better time if they received some professional instruction. Their instructor, Brent Robinson, worked with them for two hours, making the experience both educational and enjoyable. The manner in which Brent spoke to and worked with the boys made a difference in their acquisition of the new skills, let alone their positive acceptance of the sport. When their session was over, the boys expressed having thoroughly enjoyed their time with Brent. We continued to ski for several more hours following the lesson, and the boys did very well getting up and down the mountain. Clearly, the instruction had been effective. My wife and I are teachers so we understand and appreciate the necessary skills for facilitating learning. We would like to pass along our gratitude to Brent for the job he did and the positive experience he provided for our boys. Moreover, would like to inform Brent’s supervisor of his efforts.

My daughter attended the half day adventure camp with Colin yesterday and had a fabulous time. I would like to know if we can arrange private lessons with Colin. He mentioned he maybe available depending on days-time… If this could be forwarded to management please advise that Colin was amazing with Annalise and has given her a real love of the sport..Big thanks..

Thank you so much for making our ski day a HUGE SUCCESS! The children have been coming up to me all morning to tell me what a fabulous time they had! It was such a fantastic opportunity for the students, many of whom had never been skiing before. Without your last minute rescue, we would have had to cancel this event. We canâ€™t thank you enough for all of your hard work and accommodation. We couldnâ€™t have done it without you! Our sincerest gratitude and appreciation for your efforts. Looking forward to our next Hemlock experience!

I just wanted to give praise where it is due. My 7yr old wanted to learn to ski so we brought her up to Hemlock and put her in the all day program. Her instructor was Naomi. Naomi was very patient with her and had her skiing within about 15mins. She had a blast of course. When we arrived home, our 9 yr old saw the video and promptly said she wanted to learn as well. We booked them both in for the next weekend, my youngest in level 3 and the other in level 1. Once again Naomi was the level 1 instructor (as we had asked for her) and my eldest was up and skiing in no time. I am quite confident after a few more lessons my girls will be able to keep up and pass me on the mountain… I believe your instructors are doing an awesome job and should be commended for their passion for the sport and their teaching prowess. I especially want to thank both Naomi and Rupert for the time they spent with my girls and the skills they have been able to pass down. Thank you very much and keep up the good work.

I just wanted to let you know that yesterday my daughter & I skied Hemlock for the first time. We had an AMAZING experience! We had been told by a friend about Ladies Day and as luck would have it, my daughter had a Pro-D Day at school so we took advantage of the free time and we had a blast. All the staff we dealt with were wonderful. Everyone was friendly and courteous even when my daughter lost her ski getting on the yellow chair lift!! We enjoyed tubing and had dinner in the lounge area as well. It was just a great day and I will pass the info on to my friends. Keep up the great work!

I had to drop you a line to let you know what an outstanding experience we had at your mountain. We had always heard that Hemlock was a smaller family oriented resort but we weren’t prepared for the reality of our experience. From your parking lot guy to the staff in the rental shop, the pub staff and people working at the lifts EVERYONE was so outgoing, friendly and helpful. My wife actually said she it felt like Disneyland. Keep up the good work and we will definitely be making the drive out to our new favorite mountain.

I wanted to pass along a compliment – we were at your resort on New Years Eve for our 3 kids first ski & snowboard lesson – all of the staff that we interacted with were fantastic! The ladies that checked us in/ticket to the rental crew and of course the instructors – Beth & Paula. In addition to the above, Brent was also great. We chatted while he was waiting for his next student and he mentioned the “Ski & Play” program to us.
We are looking forward to our next trip up!

Just a quick note to say thankyou so much for an incredible first experience for my children. Their instructor was great and they were skiing wonderfully by the end of their lesson. My family spent the day up at Hemlock yesterday and we tubed during the day and my kids had snowboarding lessons in the evening with Adam. I wanted to write to thank Adam for working with my boys Caden, 9 years and Noah, 7 years old. It was the first time either of them had ever snowboarded and they had a bit of a hard time with it and Adam was so patient and positive with them, he was great. The boys really enjoyed their time with Adam and although they were tired and had enough after the 2 hours, Adam’s positive, supportive attitude has encouraged my kids to want to return and try snowboarding again.

Congrats for another fabulous season at Hemlock. My family and I had an awesome time each time we ventured up to Hemlock and we especially enjoyed the ski for food campaign. I also loved the Ladies Day and really hope you carry on with that wonderful idea next year.

I just wanted to send a letter of THANKS. Thank you for the Ladies Day free skiing. I wasn’t sure if I could even ski anymore but came up with some friends to give my old skis a dusting off. Hemlock was the mountain that I first learned to ski in elementary school and it held many fond memories. I hadn’t been on skis since having children and really wanted to teach my 8yr old daughter. The free days made it affordable for us to do that a couple of times.
We really enjoyed some fantastic days and found the staff to be extremely friendly. The restaurant was a nice place to sit for a bottle of wine and much needed lunch We normally brown bag it but since we didnt have to pay to ski we thoroughly enjoyed the splurge!!
